Aref H. Lahham is a Managing Director and a founding Partner of Orion Capital Managers. Located primarily in London, he primarily directs acquisition activities throughout Europe and leads asset management activities in France. He also serves as an Investment Committee Member for all Orion sponsored funds.

Aref has 20 years of real estate investment and development experience. Prior to co-founding Orion in 1999, he led the investment and corporate activities for LaSalle Partners in France and, along with Van Stults, helped create LaSalle's European operations. Prior to that, he was a Project Manager for SEGECE (a subsidiary of BNP group), a French shopping centre developer, based in Paris. Prior to working in Europe, Aref was an International Project Manager and Design Engineer in New York with Leslie E Robertson Associates, a structural engineering consulting firm.

His accomplishments include leading the majority of acquisitions of Orion's first fund, including approx. 350,000 square metres of Paris office projects and developing over 200,000 square metres of warehouses, and while at LaSalle, the creation and management of the Francilienne office fund in Paris and the purchase and sale of the Barclays Bank distressed French real estate loan portfolio. Aref has been responsible for over €2.0 billion of property acquisitions throughout Europe.

Aref holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from Purdue University, a Masters of Engineering in Civil Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from INSEAD. He is a member of the Urban Land Institute, and a member of the 'Club de l'Immobilier de France'.
